Delicious scallops. All in all, a delightful evening. Terrific Appetizer of Fried Green Tomatoes with Smoked Trout. to the Manager, Cassandra, who at least offered to pay for a round of drinks.

The decorum is so clean chic design-esk style which we really appreciated and loved. Dessert list brief, but tasty. 2 in our party left the majority on our plates and were never asked about it.Servers were extremely nice but sporadic. I had half a dozen oysters as a starter, and they were full of grit. Warm wonderful fireplace made the evening so special. Does Tavern at GrayBarns offer delivery through OpenTable or takeout? Surprisingly, the portion of each dish was rather small for its high price.

Tonight, the service, while friendly, it was a bit off. The place is a solid restaurant close to our home, and we’d like to continue patronizing it, but for the prices they charge, they need to start addressing some of these issues. The arugula salad was so gorgeous and sumptuous and so enormous that I thought it would be impossible to finish.
We were never rushed to release the table, and the chef even re-prepared my branzino after he/she was disappointed with the first attempt - as an apology, I was given the duck confit while waiting for my fish, and wow, was that good.
Food is way overprices and skimpy portions...tuna tartar portion is tiny and largely a sauce not tuna for $22.
It was our second visit this year.
Seems like mismanagement that they’d be “out” of that dish. The after dinner drinks were also terrific, notably, Strange Brew.
Great attentive knowledgeable service, terrific food, beautiful atmosphere Always a lovely experience! Warm wonderful fireplace made the evening so special.

Pretty location and room is nice, especially during the day....but how do they get away with such poor service and high prices for average food??? The Royal Coachman Tavern is a new tavern in a building that has a history dating back to 1796. *Consuming raw or under-cooked food may increase the risk of food-borne illnesses. Just didn't like the small space between the tables.
It was an extremely busy evening. Birthday for my 82nd year old dad. Finally, one of the most popular dishes on the menu is fried green tomatoes, and when we went this time, we were informed they were out of them. The scallops were delicious. I went for a special occasion but I'd like it to be an everyday dining thing :). Great food with a very nice presentation, but some entrees need a little work to achieve acceptability to all pallets. I remember when it was the Silvermine Tavern, and our family had many wonderful Sunday brunches here. Thanks Jennifer for the special treatment!More, We’ve been here 4-5 times since they opened and consistently enjoy this restaurant. We ordered two starters and two mains to be shared.

I really wanted this restaurant to become a reliable “go-to,” and perhaps they were having an “off-night.” But that’s unacceptable for a Friday evening, and especially for Michelin starred prices.More, What a wonderful birthday dinner!
