There’s something about spending a long time in the same location that does more than introduce us to the characters - we also start to feel “at home”, which for a horror movie is a great way to disarm viewers when the mayhem begins. There are uncut copies of the movie floating about, but they are in fact so rare that I haven't yet managed to track one down. The vivid images of white suited, medallion sporting men and disco divas became synonymous with the seventies, but it was the eighties that will be remembered for generating the most generational landmarks.
