Very clean, comfortable rooms. Dinner meal while stay at the Valhalla Inn. It is served with a lemon-dill sauce and comes with mashed potatoes (or rice if you prefer) and some vegetables.
Definitely recommend the Valhalla Inn in Thunder Bay. Starbucks in the lobby open 6am-5pm but they do not accept Starbucks app. I watched him with other people and he was a pro. but how do you mess up a beef dip? Would not eat here again, and now I understand why there were pizza boxes outside so many of the hotel rooms! The overall experience was mediocre, and I won’t come back and can’t recommend this place to others.
Beds are extremely comfortable, check in moved us to the 2nd floor renovated rooms (1st and 3rd are not renovated yet). I have stayed at the Valhalla many times in the past and have always found their service to be excellent, but their service was amazing in this situation; and I greatly appreciated it. However I don’t want to bash this place. I was not impressed. Food was excellent. Hot tub and sauna were closed however they offer you a card for the gym across the street that has both amenities. We enjoy the location, the service and the people that have been working there for the longest time. I went there for dinner with family, with members of our party going for the all day breakfast and the Western sandwich. Menu selections include Canadian favorites and our traditional family recipes from Greece. As expected, it is in a Viking decor.
